That is a given no matter which you/we choose.

You can select a classic guesthouse B&B with breakfast served to you daily, or a self contained apartment. I personally recommend a classic guesthouse for a solo first time Paris traveller living with their host for that obvious closer proximity to daily friendly chats over breakfast, support and care. But even if you select a self contained apartment your host is never far and/or always on hand to assist you or meet you for a coffee or walk if it aligns.

Immediately after booking your B&B, I'll connect you with Lisette, one of our most beloved Petite Paris hosts and the woman behind the enchanting Montmartre apartment, for three 45-minute French language lessons designed to get you speaking, laughing, and feeling more confident before you even land.

But this isn't a language class. It's a friendship that starts in French. Because Lisette is not a formal trained language teacher. She's a bold, brilliant, endlessly creative Parisian, a B&B host, entrepreneur, tea connoisseur, artist, home designer, and former women's co-working space founder, who simply wants to connect with you before you arrive and make sure you feel a little less like a tourist and a little more like someone who belongs here.

Two lessons happen online before you leave home online remotely (zoom or facetime), casual, warm, zero pressure. Then the third happens in Paris itself, in person over delicious coffee and croissants at a local brasserie. This is the special moment you finally meet the voice and friend you've already come to know. If Lisette isn't in Paris during your stay, you'll both arrange the final session remotely, but the goal and hope is always that in person moment of course. So I will be in contact with Lisette to plan this and include your final French lesson together in Paris into your curated itinerary.

So this means by the time you land in Paris you won't just have a host waiting for you. You'll already have a friend. One that you can also feel absolutely free to reach out to, if you ever get stuck in any language barrier situation. Lisette offers a 24hr ‘hotline’ where you can reach her any time if you are ever stuck in a situation and need a Parisian translator. This is the peace of mind a solo traveller needs, having a Parisian on your side and in your corner!

After you are all booked in to your B&B and in contact with the lovely Lisette, we will then discuss your sight-seeing musts - the places you must SEE and DO. During this stage I will be guiding you on the best way to experience not only those sights but Paris in general. Making sure you don’t clog your time with ‘too-much’ that will drain you energy and time and instead focus on having plenty of space to breathe around everything and to allow for slow and spontaneous moments, to connect with the real Paris. Remember thats the goal. Not to ‘be busy in Paris’ but just to BE in Paris.

And I will make sure your musts are REAL musts based on your personally your interests and true desires, not 30 hyped up places dressed up as ‘MUSTS’ (we are not chasing the latest tikitok places trends).

I will also have you look through the selection of extra personalised Petite Paris services and decide if there is any experience in their that you would like to include eg Antonellas Astrology session?

From there I will curate the ‘bones’ of your Paris Itinerary for the duration of your stay to include your ‘Musts’ as well as the wonderful services and experiences that are included in this Premier Paris package - which are all listed below, but don’t jump ahead we are going in sequence here. The remaining ‘blank space’ in your itinerary will be all the spare time to spontaneously dawdle in between and observe hopefully some of your own still small Parisian moments.

Another reminder we will be leaving room for the unplanned. Some of the most memorable moments our solo travellers have experienced in Paris weren't on any itinerary. They were the spontaneous lunch with their host that turned into a three hour conversation. The market visit that Alvin suggested on a whim. The afternoon that went in a completely unexpected direction and became the story they tell when they get home. We plan just enough to make you feel safe and oriented. The rest we leave deliberately open. Because that's where Paris actually happens.

Your itinerary will be firm and sent to you with plenty of time ahead of your trip. (Lead time depending). While the itinerary remains firm as far as the Petite Paris services and experiences go where we have locked in times and dates, it can be flexible for movement with the other sight-seeing and spare time, if you/we discover any special event, gallery or other exhibition that pops up that is a definite MUST. Firm, so there is no constant changes being made where suddenly your trip is about scheduling and juggling ‘to-dos’ again, but also flexible for when it matters.

About two weeks before you arrive, if you haven't already, I'll nudge you to send a quick Bonjour to your host. This is where the trip starts to feel real. A simple introduction, confirming your arrival time, maybe a question or two about the neighbourhood.

This is also when I’ll be checking in on you more. Not just logistically but genuinely. Because the closer the date gets, the more the excitement and the nerves can show up together. That's normal and expected and I'll be paying attention. If you need a reassuring voice or just someone to remind you that you've absolutely got this, that's what this stage is for.

WELCOME to your home in Paris!! Your attentive and gracious Petite Paris host will be there to meet you warmly at arrival, helping you with luggage as needed. If you have arranged for an early check-in or luggage drop off, this will all be taken care of for you. And breathe…you are home, safe, with your host! You DID IT!

Truly - Petite Paris hosts are such warm soulful good humans, and arriving will feel like saying hello to a friend you just haven’t met yet ! Thats the magic of staying with someone who cares and wants you there.

Your host will take you through the entire home and/or guest room, showing you all you need to know and ensuring you are happy and comfortable and well prepared for your first solo night in Paris.

This first day and night you will be essentially left to decompress, rest and relax after your flights, get to know your home, bond with the space, unpack etc. But not before you hosts offer you the best easy to reach local brasserie for lunch or dinner if you arrive hungry and depending on the time you are getting in, or their favourite boulangerie if you have come in on an early flight. And in fact they are always on hand for quick text questions for any locals tips and recommendations throughout your entire stay. Your constant contact, guide, friend, support.

OR if you are feeling game and confident and eager to get out into the neighbourhood and start exploring then GO you! You can either be totally spontaneous and ‘choose your own adventure’ and discover your own finds, OR use the Neighbourhood Map Guide that comes with your B&B. This is not your curated itinerary that I have prepared for you and is just a little extra guide to the immediate local area around you, with all my personal favourite spots.

Or you can simply chill at home, ahead of tomorrows first personalised service experience…Are you ready??

The amazing most soulful B&B host Alvin will meet you at the B&B building door the following morning at approximately 10am for a warm casual slow paced and beautiful stroll around the neighbourhood together. If you have chosen to stay in a self contained apartment he will arrive with a breakfast basket with some of his favourite morning goodies for you for your coming days.

Alvins joy and purity will be easily seen and felt by you right away and he will honestly blow you away with his genuine kindness and generosity. He absolutely loves guiding Petite B&B guests and sharing his city through his eye, with you. But it’s not just this, its not just showing you where everything is such as the grocery stores, pharmacy, buses and metros etc (which is all very important of course and an essential part of this arrival orientation service) but its the genuine friendship he offers.

He tells me all the time how much he loves getting to know guests and hearing their stories, learning new perspectives through them. So the exchange is completely reciprocal. He gains so much form you too while truly seeing you as the wonderful deeply valued individual person that you are, here on your first time in Paris solo journey.

At just like that, you have a 3rd Petite Paris friend and support in the city. Me, your B&B host and Alvin - who you can also consider from this point, as someone you can reach out to if you need or wish. I highly recommend reconnecting with Alvin somewhere along your stay in Paris even beyond the orientation service. He LOVES this, because like me, he knows real depth and connection is created through reconnecting, through committment.

Alvin will share essential city street-wise tips during this time too, things to look out for, how to use buses, metros (he is known to actually take guests INOT the metro and show them how to buy tickets as a practice run) how to use the bikes if you think you might like to, public toilets, and other essentials,.

And the best part, sitting down with you at a cafe terrace, enjoying a coffee or wine and giving you some quick essential cafe etiquette, ordering tips etc.

The Arrival service typically ends at 1pm - lunch time - though it has been known to continue on and evolve into having lunch together hehe, if Alvins timing allows of course and if you both decide to, but otherwise Alvin will point you to any one of his foodie recommendations on the best local lunch spot that he knows and he is indeed a foodie - a pastry chef in fact - leaving you to your first solo cafe lunch moment in the neighbourhood that you now know well, the first of many cafe moments being exactly that lady you envisaged all those months ago. She was sitting at that Paris cafe remember, right there, where you are, coffee in hand, completely at ease with yourself and the city…thats you, now!

It’s time to get acquainted with the rest of Paris, the geography of the city and to get your inner bearings in order ahead of your sightseeing.

You will be picked up outside your building or at a meeting spot very nearby, (most likely the next day since we do NOT cram too much into one day) by gentleman Clement, or one of Clements drivers, from Pinky Tours. A Petite Paris partner who will whisk you away for a fun drive around the cities main areas/arrondissements and monuments in a classic CV car. The one and only classic Parisian car and the ONLY way I approve seeing the monuments, quickly, wasting no time in lines, and on wheels - because slow strolling and discovering awaits haha!

Clements service is a door-to-door service too and being mapped out in your curated itinerary means you can then plan for your evening dinner locally back near your B&B when the CV tour ends, or you can simply go home for dinner. Text Alvin, see if he’s around for a meal ;)

You can also request to hop off anywhere in the city and go rogue solo explorer in a new part of town if you feel ready for that at this time.

Clement and his drivers are friendly, chatty, humorous, likely to have you giggling, and they are also full of fascinating historic information and cultural tid-bits about Paris too so the drive is an entire experience not just sight-seeing but also learning while chatting away with a local Parisian. Understanding their city through their eyes also.

This service and experience is intentionally set in the late afternoon or dusk heading into the night (depending on the time of year you are travelling) but not too late, just enough so you get to see the beauty of Paris sparkling at night sooner rather than later so that you are enticed to explore the night solo after you have already experienced it in good safe secure company first while getting to know the geographical layout of the city, where the monuments are laid out and staking out where you might love to go back for a solo blissful walk for a Midnight in Paris moment. Perhaps along the Seine or Pont Alexandre III. You know the city now…

The next couple of days are simply yours. Those must-see places, the slow solo strolls, the serendipitous wrong turns, the spontaneous discoveries in quiet corners you didn't plan to find. Zero pressure, zero schedule, zero agenda beyond showing up and being present.

Practice your French with the locals. Jump on a bus or metro now that you know which way is left bank, which direction is Montmartre, and roughly where everything sits in the city. Because here's the thing.

You're navigating a foreign city. Alone. And you know exactly what you're doing.

And if you ever don't, Lisette, Alvin, your host and I are all still right behind you.

By this point in your trip you've found your rhythm, you know your neighbourhood, and Paris is starting to feel genuinely yours, and most importantly, you are doing it all SOLO, as you dreamed. But sometimes, just sometimes, an evening is even better shared.

With your permission I'll connect you with any other solo Petite Paris travellers in the city at the same time as you. Women just like you, coming from that same beautiful hungry place of wanting something real and connected from their Paris experience rather than something rushed and touristy. A coffee, a walk, a brasserie dinner. Nothing scheduled, nothing obligated, just the possibility of connection if it calls to you.

The same three or four lovely souls gathering for dinner each evening, end of day, optional every single time. No group obligation, no tour group energy. Just genuinely good humans sharing a brasserie table and an evening in Paris. And I'll be honest with you. I'm a big introvert. I'm perfectly happy eating alone in a brasserie or staying in for the evening snd even I found those meet up dinners to be something so special that genuinely only ADDED to my solo experience overall. So I say that not as a sell but as a truth.
