Welcome to Apartment Lisette

An enchanting 2 bedroom home in Montmartre

Welcome to Petite Paris’ Apartment Lisette. I have been working with Lisette and her incredibly charming romantic 2 bedroom self-contained abode in the heart of Montmartre village, since 2012 sending many guests over the years who ALL have adored the space as much as I do; and with many returning regularly making this their regular ‘home’ in Paris. It is with no surprise as view the charm of this authentic home.

Located in the old-world artists village of Montmartre - the 18th arrondissement of Paris (where Picasso, Pissaro and Van Gogh and many more artists lived) that is known for its maze-like endless cobblestoned streets, hidden caves, and cafes, you will get a real ‘Amelie’ feel (the movie was also based in this village as well as many scenes from Emily in Paris such the romantic bed scene was in Montmartre) - overall its the quintessential moody, nostalgic Parisian village life, oh so French.

The apartment sits on one of the iconic hilly streets that the neighbourhood is famous for. It is perfectly situated AWAY from the often crowded touristic hotspots of the area, on a residential SAFE authentic residential street YET only moment’s walk to all those must see highlights of the area such as Place du Tertre and the Sacre Coeur Basilica. Bus and metro are literally at your doorstep too, to reach all other parts of Paris with ease and comfort. Apartment Lisette is the perfect Paris home for 1 - 4 guests. It sits on the 1st floor of the apartment.

LOCATION Details

The 18th arrondissement is a true Parisian village experience. It is the home to the last standing vineyard and windmill in Paris, and is a gorgeous labyrinth of cozy nooks and crannies, hidden gardens and beautiful mansions to admire, as well as cafes, bars, brasseries, boutiques, art shops and galleries and more. Some of Paris’ award winning patisseries and boulangeries are located there as well as the beautiful Musee de Montmartre - an old artists residential share house now boasting art works from many local artists over the centuries and a tranquil garden cafe that is so dreamy.

It is known as the artist’s village of Paris as all the artistic greats were drawn to the beauty of the area and lived there at one point in their careers, Degas, Van Gogh, Picasso, Pissarro and more. It's also home to the Moulin Rouge as well as Lapin Agile (one of the oldest cabarets in the city) and it is an easy downhill walk to the centre of Paris passing Opera Garnier, Galleries Lafayette.

Each October in Paris is the Fetes des Vendanges - the Harvest Festival, a very unique wine festival is held over 5 days to honour the new vintage of the vineyards on the hill with music, workshops, tastings, a flea market, bands, parades, fireworks and much more including a quirky Cérémony des Non-Demandés en Mariage – an eccentric ritual that involves not getting married to your partner. This is followed by the open-air Bal des Non-Mariés at Place des Abbesses, where singletons celebrate not being married.

There are 2 bedrooms each with standard double beds 160cm x 160cm each, wardrobes with plenty of space, and hangers, and writing desks and may I add, the best sweetest decor, furnishings and overall atmosphere of coziness.

The main bedroom looks out over the street and the second bedroom is inner building courtyard facing if you prefer quieter sleeping nook (though the street is a small back street and generally quiet also). Both rooms are lovingly decorated with artworks, plenty of books to read and French decor.

The colour scheme is warm and relaxing. Lisette, quite the creative, has put much thought into the ambience of the bedrooms to make them spaces you really want to be in, perhaps even a little too much, it can be so tempting just to float around the apartment with a wine soaking in its atmosphere as I often do, and as so many guests report also. The true Paris apartment love-life awaits!

There is one private bathroom with step-in shower (no tub), a fully equipped separate small kitchen with all you need to cook and prepare meals if you wish, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, stovetop and all cooking utensils, cups, plates etc.

There is a laundry closet room with washer for your use (with laundry detergent and a clothes hanger), and a large separate combined lounge and dining room with TV and cable and again beautifully decorated with the quaintest coziest of atmsopheres and plenty of books to enjoy.

There is a dining table with 4 seats and bookshelf with plenty to peruse. Open the large windows and let the city in…

There is FREE wifi in this apartment, heating, all toiletries are provided as well as fresh and best quality bed linens and towels.

Your host Lisette, is a creative entrepreneur, running a women’s start-up business in Trouville-sur-mer (Nth France) where she spends half of her time. The other half is spent in Paris in this apartment. When Lisette is not in Paris she offers her home to you and will organise a breakfast basket to be delivered to you on your arrival full of fresh goodies to get you started each day, as well as a bottle of French champagne.

Lisette always remains available to her guests anytime through-out their stay in her home, assisting and offering advice and tips anytime. I, Regina, also remains at your service anytime throughout your stay in Paris, together Lisette and I will always ensure you are comfortable and happy and well prepared to explore Paris like a local.

Lisettes Review about Petite

“After every check-out, I always email Regina to let her know that her guests stay went well and that they have been such lovely guests and what is incredible is that I could copy the same email each time because Regina’s guests are always happy, kind and respectful. In french we say « we have the guests we deserve » the expression describes exactly how Regina runs Petite Paris focusing on personalized services, confidence and kindness and she is the best person to sell Paris sharing her love of the City of lights and hidden gems and as for me I hope to continue welcoming her guests for a real ‘vivre à la parisienne’ or I should write ‘vivre à la montmartroise’ ”
