I couldn’t imagine a more old-world nostalgic-romantic classic quintessential Parisian historic home that this! And in just a few days I will be in Paris to not only imagine but to see in reality this darling home, steps from the Notre Dame Cathedral, right on the Seine River banks, in absolute prestigious prime location. My first left bank 6eme Petite Paris in a long time, a charming cozy apartment on Rue Git-le-Coeur (literal transaltion is Street ‘Lies in the Heart’ as it does, the VERY HEART of Paris - CLICK HERE for this perfect Paris location (5mins walk to Jardin Luxembourg to)
With the most warm welcoming homey atmosphere, carefully decorated with antique frames and art works mixed with aztec Moroccan vibes, with the original wood beams, original tiling, and some perfectly places and associated pieces of religious art - to celebrate your proximity to the most incredible Notre Dame Cathedral. Its rich, mysterious, red moulin-esque nights of wine sipping and walking along the seine river banks where the antique book sellers line. If you wanted the Parisian fantasy I think this is it.

This is also the RER line C which connects you directly to Paris ORLY Airport as well as VERSAILLES! OR continue on to Chartres, one of my new favouriet small towns 1hr away from Paris for a little day trip.
In this quaint space you have a fully functioning kitchenette with stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee nespresso machine, small fridge (NOT a bar fridge), all cooking utensils and crockery to prepare meals at home if you wish. There is also a dishwasher and a washing machine for laundry.
The bedroom nook consists of a double bed, side table and a little bench for extra seating, all of which is surrounded by a large bookshelf with decor and trinkets, artworks and wonderful little characterful touches to make this home feel like home; like a warm hug in Paris! The bed appears teeny tiny in these photos but I assure it is in fact a standard double European size bed at 140x200cm.
The bathroom is completely renovated with walk in shower, sink and toilet and all towels and toiletries as well as bed linens are provided. Essential toiletries such as soap and bath gel are provided (please note no shampoo or conditioner is provided) there is a hairdryer.
About your host Alvene:
Alvene is of Malaysian heritage and from Brisbane Australia. 15 years ago he came to Paris and fell in love and basically never left.
He is a pastry chef in Paris (he knows all the best pastry and coffee places both in the area of the apartment and within all of Paris). He purchased this apartment as his primary residence but also lives between this home and his other Paris home.
When Alvene is not in this apartment he offers it to fellow Aussie or international guests. Alvene is a wonderful host, who aligns with Petite Paris ethos of making connections with guests.
For Alvene (and Petite Paris) it is not just about offering travellers an empty apartment, Alvene is also is a friend, who will welcome you upon arrival, show you all the bits-and-bobs of the home, spend time with you sharing his city tips, as well as helping you to plan you Paris days from the apartment.
He loves to connect with guests in a deeper way, getting to know them and promising them the utmost quality hospitality and care.
Alvene offers bike riding tours around Paris too, another way for him to get to know his guests and vice-versa for guests to get to know Alvene, as well as the city, and hopefully make this their ‘forever’ home in Paris.

Beginning and ending at the apartment, explore the magic of Paris by night with Alvene as your guide on this 2.5-hour ride to beautiful locations around the city. You will experience the city’s quiet and stillness with few cars or pedestrians, the city will feel like it belongs to you, lit up, just for you!
