Rue Abbesses is the hub of Montmartre and from your balcony window you are overseeing all the buzz at all times, smelling the fresh boulangerie and croissants below, hearing the clink of wine glasses in the classic bars and brasseries below and watching the incredible view of the Sacre Coeur Basilica morning, noon or night. I have been residing in Nicoles studio every year for over 15 years, staying 1 or 2 months at a time, and the view and lifestyle never tires. Scroll down to see some of my guests own photos while staying in this delightful little studio.

Upon wake up I open the balcony and let in the early morning sounds and smells, enjoy a coffee overlooking it all while planning my day, I usually pop in and out of the studio many times during the day because its so convenient to walk to local lunch, shops, parks, winebars etc. You could almost live your entire stay in this pocket happily - as I often do!

Despite its proximity to the centre of the village, the studio remains extremely quite (as tried and tested by us) thanks to its double pane sound proof windows. On occasion street noise will filter thought at night when there are special events or circumstances so if you need absolute silence each night please do not book (or enquire with me first).

Nicoles studio lives in a classic 19th Century Haussman building (with secure digicode entry system) and is a self contained space with hi-speed wifi.

Typically small in size as it true to Paris studios 17m2 - it boasts a fully functioning kitchen space (a kitchenette) with stove top, convection oven, microwave, fridge, kettle, coffee machine, toaster and all cutlery and basic ingredients are left fo you for cooking - salt, sugar, tea, milk, butter, oils etc.

There is a washing machine in the kitchen also. AND surprise, a second balcony from the kitchen with another view down the other side of Rue Abbesses.

This enchanting little studio boasts a comfortable Queen bed 160cmx190cm for 2 guests, a single sofa chair and a shelf with French books and magazine to enjoy.

There is also a large wardrobe with ample room for you to store your clothing and suitcase, Hangers and iron are provided.

The kitchen has a second balcony to enjoy your coffee while looking out at the haussman buildings across - including looking directly at the apartment that Van Gogh lived in for a time.

The bathroom is a little more of an unusual but private set up. Being on the 6th floor of the apartment, where the building concierges would live back in the day - also known as the Maids Quartier (a la Emily in Paris) the bathroom is accessed via a little foyer between the front door of the studio and the front door of the bathroom from the hallway - HOWEVER it is privately secured and unseen off from the rest of the hallway and the other residents living on the 6th floor, because this studio as it the very end of the hallway where you are the only one who goes down that way - and therefore no one can see you when you step outside the studio door to enter the bathroom door - right next door. The bathroom is locked for the private use of the guests inside only.  Click the Video below, to see my tour of the apartment and video explanation of the bathroom from my trip in October 2024. (Basic toiletries, towels and a hairdryer are provided).
