Welcome to B&B Sylvie & Francois
A private-entry B&B guest suite in the 17eme
Welcome to Sylvie and Francois’ unique rare home in Paris - within a pink and purple building whose metal framing was designed by Gustav Eiffel himself.
The building was made up of ateliers and artist studios, and is now converted in unique 2 story townhouse dwellings and is considered a Historic Monument in Paris and has been occupied over the years by many known artists. The building is featured in numerous Paris Architectural coffee table books.
This is also a home that is ideal for families looking for a safe neighbourhood, the 17eme - the Ternes neighbourhood is a historic, peaceful residential area favoured by families boasting a bustling local lifestyle and a certain spirit you can’t find anywhere else in Paris. But it is extremely close (7mins drive) to the Fondation Louis Vuitton (Museum), le Jardin d’Acclimation (kids amusement park) and it is also located near the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs-Elysées and not far from the iconic flea markets (Puces de Clignancourt) as featured in the film Midnight in Paris. It is also suitable for Business travellers with the Palais des Congrès nearby.
Sylvie and Francois are your wonderful and intriguing hosts. They love to meet travellers and are very chatty and enjoy coffee, wine moments with their guests if they wish in their incredible lounge area. Francois is a real riot – a wonderful character full of interesting stories about Paris and his life in Paris and who will have you in stitches in no time.
Sylvie and Francois offer two charming and very homey feeling private entry guest bedrooms that is separate to the private quartier of their home.

The walls are painted peach and the curtains are blue, which gives a serene calming atmosphere.
The Second Adjoining Guest Bedroom
Accessible from the internal corridor opening on the private entry OR from the main bedroom by crossing the shower room that sits in between the 2 bedrooms (A very unique set up).
The room is 14m2 and offers a large single bed of 120cmx190cm (feels more like a double) intended for 1 or 2 children, a close couple or a single person who wants something larger than a regular single.
In this room 2 extra convertible beds can be placed for 2 children only as they are 80cmx180cm each.
This bedroom mixes modern and traditional style. The large window opens on a quiet street. There are drawers, one Louis XV chair covered with precious materials, a chest made of golden wood and a white marble table as well as a mirror framed in gold wood to complete the Louis XV style and giving a feeling of warmth and comfort to this bedroom.
Above the bed is a library with books and travel books in English and French.

In the middle is the shower that you will reach with a step. Towels and basic bath products like soap and a hair-dryer, will be at your disposal. There is a WC toilet outside of the shower-room, and can be reached through the main bedroom. See more images in the photo gallery below.

They both love meeting new people and so since 2009 after their two children left the nest, they decided to open a bed and breakfast in their home.
They both speak English. Sylvie understands Spanish and Portuguese and Francois knows a little Russian (his grand-father was from Ukraine).
Sylvie and François have lived at this amazing address for more than 50 years.
Downstairs from the guest rooms - though connected to the main apartment by an internal circular stairwell (see photo below) is their private dwelling. You will find the living-room with a ceiling up to 6 meters high and your hosts' private rooms.
The decor in Sylvie and Francois homes is reminiscent of the 60s and 70s and all their exotic travels with the purple-orange-brown colours to the Buddha statues and masks from different countries, a large mirror made of painted glass from Marrakech etc.
One of the walls is covered with a large library with thousands of old vinyl LP records collected by François.
François is very proud of his collection of records, he knows that many of his visitors are impressed by it and it will be a pleasure for him to show it to you and explain the life of the singers pop and rock stars from the fifties up to now who he met: Elvis Presley, the Beatles, the Stones, Bob Dylan, etc.
This is an accommodation of rare quality with most exceptional hosts. Should the walls talk, they would have much to tell you ...
