A home in the magical Montmartre 18eme.
Welcome to Apartment Souhila
Welcome to Souhila’s home in Paris. This is where you come to stay to feel and BE an everyday local Parisian. This traditional and classic family home is simply presented to you, as a budget friendly option and an everyday living space with out the modern day frills, but even better, with all the regular charm of a classic Parisian apartment with wooden floor boards, classic mouldings, a true everyday apartment, and un perfectly petit and classic Parisian balcon to sip your morning coffees at.
This apartment is set within a typical haussmann building, on the 5th floor (no lift) in the most beautiful part (and my favourite village of Paris as everyone knows) the artists village of Montmartre 18eme - even better, this home is located in the quieter district of Montmartre, the trendy backend where local residents prefer to live (to get away from the touristic hotspots of the village) yet it is only walking distance to Montmartre’s famous Place du Terte and all the major sights that the village is known for as well as an abundance of classic cozy little nook cafes, bars, brasseries including an abundance of these right from your front at your door as well as supermarkets, chemists, and all the everyday essentials. Located close to Lisette’s apartment, Souhila’s home is a safe and wonderful place to be based on Paris.

Location details
the true artists village of Paris
The 18th arrondissement is a true Parisian village experience. It is the home to the last standing vineyard and windmill in Paris, and is a gorgeous labyrinth of cobblestone cozy nooks and crannies, hidden gardens and beautiful mansions to admire, as well as cafes, bars, brasseries, boutiques, art shops and galleries and more. It is known as the artist’s village of Paris as all the artistic greats were drawn to the beauty of the areas and lived there at one point in their careers, Degas, Van Gogh, Picasso, Pissarro and more. It's also home to the Moulin Rouge, Lapin Agile (one of the oldest caberets in the city) and it is an easy downhill walk to the centre of Paris passing Opera Garnier, Galleries Lafayette. Each October the Fetes des Vendanges - the Harvest Festival, a very unique wine festival is held over 5 days to honour the new vintage of the vineyards on the hill with music, workshops, tastings, a flea market, bands, parades, fireworks and much more including a quirky Cérémony des Non-Demandés en Mariage – an eccentric ritual that involves not getting married to your partner. This is followed by the open-air Bal des Non-Mariés at Place des Abbesses, where singletons celebrate not being married.

Souhila, my lovely hostess will warmly welcome and greet you at arrival, show you around the apartment and then will leave you to your own Parisian independence. However she remains nearby and will be on hand anytime you need here as friend in Paris and someone to offer you tips and advice if you wish. You will notice in the photographs the balcony has many plants to enjoy. In the springtime, Souhila, your host will be visiting the apartment every 2-3 days to water the plants while you are out, to maintain them, we ask that guests are happy with this arrangement before booking this apartment. It will be a lovely opportunity to chat with Souhila your host if you are home, getting some local tips and advice or to simply practice your French.
The bedroom has a Queen size bed 190x190cm and all fresh linens are provided. In your bedroom you have street view with balcon access, imagine waking up and opening the window to the balcony and letting in the sounds and sights of the city before venturing out to the romantic streets of Montmartre on foot. Your host Souhila is born and bred in Paris. She is a consultant and travels frequently for her work. For this reason thgere may be occassions where she is away from Paris while you are in the apartment. In this case a colleague will be on hand to assist you, as will I, Regina. Souhila’s interests include travel, food and fashion.
I am delighted to work with Souhila who fits the Petite Paris family of B&Bs and apartment owners so well, she would be so happy and delighted to host you in her home in Paris to ensure you experience an authentic everyday living experience of the city and she can be considered a friend in the city, to assist you whenever you need.
