About Petite Paris

Bonjour everyone, I’m Regina. My Paris obsession and B&B service begun in 2009 after my first trip to the city of lights in 2007 (my full personal story is below). I am a Portuguese born, Australian resident and Paris B&B expert now of over 17 years, profiled in numerous national and international travel publications. With my passion for Paris and an eye for charming and homely style, and a love of travel and even bigger love for the guests and travellers who come through Petite Paris, I am here to continue to build this portfolio of B&B homes as well as the beautiful community of Paris travellers. This year I have added Solo Traveller Group Meet Ups - for all my amazing solo B&B guests and visitors to Paris, to come together to meet eachother and enjoy a moment in their favourite city together.

This is a truly and deeply very personalised boutique Paris service that I run very close to my heart, it is about true hospitality and true travel experiences and connections while we travel. Something that can only be achieved when you start by staying in a classic B&B. This service is for my fellow amazing culture travellers who love the idea of intimacy or living like someone would in the place they are visiting; and being hosted by locals like an old friend or family member. I can assure that once you ditch hotels or empty apartment rentals and find friends through the Petite B&Bs in Paris, you will never go back.

Petite Paris offers quality B&Bs in Paris that are intimate, homely and authentic B&B lodgings. Connecting travellers to native locals (B&B hosts) in their homes, and who offer personalised care as well as insider advice, guarantee travellers receive a more authentic Paris experience than the norm. There are some private self contained apartments too for those who simply prefer that but in these cases your host kives in the same building or street or nearby and is still your go-to for anything you need and they still invite you for a little local walk and get-to-know-you coffee if you wish.

Petite Paris B&Bs are sought, tested and handpicked in-person by me. This ensures they consistently meet the ‘Petite’ promise for charming and quaint atmosphere with polished services from only the very best hosts. Many homes you see on the website are exclusive to Petite Paris only!

Petite Paris offers an old-school personalised booking service where guests will always chat direct with me, to benefit from my professional and personal knowledge of each home intimately. Matching travellers to the right home is key and is something that can only be done successful in person. I LOVE chatting to each and everyone of you. You all fuel me with excitement about your Paris trip and I am always so honoured when I get to host someone in a Petite home and help shape their Paris trip to be as amazing authentic and memorable as possible.

If you are a B&B or

Apartment Owner…

Lets work together!

I am always on the hunt for more amazing authentic family homes in Paris to offer my guests. So if you are a Guesthouse B&B or apartment owner and think you may like to join the Petite Paris network and to host my amazing community of Paris travellers and guests, please contact me to organise a live inspection of your home and for a little chat. I visit Paris annually and would love to visit your home for assessment, and to meet you in person too. I run the service very personally and my relationships with my B&B hosts and apartment owners are a wonderful combination of friendship as well as colleagues, all of which are personal, trustworthy and professional.

Please note: this is a personalised service with B&B hosts offering personalised care and services to guests while staying in their homes, rather than just a key given to guests. Petite Paris prides itself on offering its guests an experience of feeling like a local, by being guided by a local host to explore Paris like a local would.

Private Apartments

While this service is predominately for Chambre d’hotes (classic B&B guesthouses where you live WITH Parisian hosts in their home) there are a minimum number of self-contained private apartments also available on the website for travellers who simply prefer privacy and wish to experience living in Paris alone (though your home owner and/or host will always be nearby ready to offer you personalised services if and as you need) so if you have a private apartment you would like to offer to my guests this is still possible but please note the following conditions:

Paris has very strict short term rental laws for apartments in order to minimise the rental crisis. To work with me and offer your apartment to my guests via the Petite Paris platform, your private apartment home must be registered with the Paris City Hall and have the 13 digit Rental Registration number, and it can only be offered for short stays with a maximum of 120 days of the year (4 months maximum), and it must be your primary residence. If it is your secondary residence you will need to go through a commercial license process to be able to offer it year round (link below for more details). Petite Paris will not book any private self contained apartment for more than 4 months per calendar year - and it is apartment owners responsibility to adhere to the 4 months between all and any booking platforms. However all traditional Guesthouse B&Bs (offering rooms only) on the website must be registered businesses and these are able to operate year round. To register your Chambre d’hote (traditional B&B) please visit your local Mairie (council) for your own B&B registration number.

If you have a property you would like to change to a secondary residence for the purpose of being able to rent out 365 days a year please read this helpful information Click here.

About Me

I fell in love with Paris and B&Bs 17 years ago on my first Paris trip by staying in a family-run boutique B&B rather than a hotel or apartment. I didn’t choose the B&B for the connection experience I was about to receive - admittedly it was a budget friendly option for me - BUT the experience gave my the intimate cultural immersion experience and connection I didn’t know I was looking for. I also believe I feel in love with the REAL Paris beacause of such an authentic living experience. I truly felt like ‘part of the family’ and my hosts showed my true hospitality, friendship and ‘the REAL Paris’ sharing ands taking me to places I would never have otherqise know, sharing stories that I knew deep in my soul wetre not the regular stories tourists here. SO I never went back to sitting alone in a hotel room ever again, no matter where I travelled to. But especially NOT in Paris. Because Parisians are THE friendliest people in the world if you know how to crack their very private ‘codes’ and stop treating the city like your amusement. And you do this by appreciating them truly! And staying in a B&B, they will shower you with so much care and kindness!

Anyway from that moment I resolved to hunt for other boutique family-style B&Bs to offer to other (Paris obsessed) discerning travellers, and voila, Petite Paris was born in 2009. Since then I has visited Paris 15 times, every year staying 2 months each visit, and I have grown quite the little-black-book of amazing and ‘off-the-beaten-track’ Paris places!

Dedicated towards finding more unique places in Paris as well as any unique new homes I encounter during my trips, I love nothing more than to create the dream Parisian experience for travellers from all over the world. Petite Paris is dedicated to anyone looking to enjoy Paris authentically!
