BOOKING INSTRUCTIONS
Once you have selected your Petite B&B you wish to book, you will be sent an Invoice to pay the necessary deposit payment to secure the B&B.
This deposit payment amount varies according to the length of your stay and is generally 20-50euro per night of the total nightly price.
This can be paid paid via PayPal or Credit Card.
Once this is paid you will receive a Booking Confirmation via email with the arrival details and instructions i.e your hosts contact details (phone and email), entry instructions e.g. the building code/s and instructions on how to reach your B&B from the airport/train station.
Your host will be in contact with you shortly after booking is confirmed to say hello, and to work out any finer details where necessary. ie precise arrival time etc. Guests are free to contact their hosts at any time from this point should their arrival time change.
Balance payment for outstanding amount is due on arrival to your B&B host in euro cash. Prior payment is also possible - please request this anytime if you prefer this.
PLEASE NOTE: The initial deposit payment is a non-refundable booking reservation fee used to secure and hold your selected dates and home. This payment is separate from the remaining accommodation balance due for your stay and is not calculated as a nightly accommodation payment. The remaining balance invoice reflects the full nightly accommodation cost of the apartment selected.
T&Cs/Cancellation Policy
Please note our cancellation policy as below applies to all Petite Paris B&Bs and apartments. If select homes have their own independent policy, it is detailed on the webpage for that home. Otherwise the following applies:
Your Deposit payment as above at the time of booking, is non refundable at any time for any reason, but if you need to cancel your booking at any time, that amount paid remains a credit to you for the deposit payment for another booking for another B&B booking, another time. So your deposit is never lost and always remains a credit to you to reuse whenever you can travel again to Paris. It can also be transferred to friends and family. With NO expiry date.
Credit amounts for deposit payments cannot be transferred to any balances due on another exisiting booking or B&B. Credits can only be used for another new booking and towards that specific deposit amount for that new booking.
Cancellations made within 4 weeks before arrival - 100% of the outstanding balance to your host is due and invoice will be sent to you to settle your due amount. A reciept will be issued to you immediately so you can claim this payment on your travel insurance.
Petite Paris is a very small personalised service and cancellations have massive impact on us. It is often unlikely we are able to rebook the dates you are cancelling (which in most cases have been reserved for you for months in advance). However if we/the host is able to rebook your dates or some of the dates to other guests you will get your balance payment refunded - according to the number of nights we were able to rebook last minute.
We cannot guarantee the dates you are cancelling will be rebooked. But we aim to remain a human centred honest service by focusing on fairness on both sides of a cancellation. Therefore we will always refund you if we are able to rebook your home for any or all dates. On the high change we cannot rebook your dates WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING OUT TRAVEL INSURANCE to COVER YOU FOR UNEXPECTED CANCELLATION NEEDS
Furthermore in some discretionary cases and only for some B&Bs the balance you pay at the time of cancellation may be able to be used entirely for a future stay with Petite Paris, with no expiry date. So altogether this means both your deposit and balance payments remain a credit to you and can be used for an entirely new trip another time.
Please Note: Medical Cancellations are not an automatic waiver of the T&Cs, even if you have a medical certificate. As much as we do sympathise with anyone having a sudden medical emergency, Petite Paris cannot carry that responsibility and will not be able to waive the cancellation cost. Medical Emergencies are precisely why T&Cs exist and is one of the many reasons why they must. Travel Insurance. isthere for these unexpected ocassions, to protect you! We strong recommend you take out travel insurance as soon as your flights and accommodation is booked as these are the greatest expenses.
T&Cs may be waived entirely for bereavement of immediate family only, and with document proof. This needs to have occurred within the 4 week cancellation period. The deposit payment made at the time of booking remains non refundable at all times - but can be used as a credit for another deposit payment anytime.
T&Cs for BALANCE PAYMENTS for B&B hosts
After first booking payment is made the balance due to your host is due on arrival in euro cash. If guest prefer to pay the total balance in full prior to arrival they may request this and an invoice will be sent to you with your hosts bank transfer details. Any additional transfer fees and conversion fees are to be paid for by the guest. A recieipt will then be issued to you from Petite Paris to confirm full payment has been made.
T&Cs for Reducing the number of nights after booking has been made and confirmed:
Any date change that is a reduction in the number of nights booked, is considered a cancellation by the guest. No amount of the original deposit amount is refunded and nor can it be applied to the new balance due. BUT CAN be used as a credit to go towards the deposit for another B&B booking another time.
For example: your booking total for 5 nights is 625euro and you paid 125euro deposit (25euro per night) which means balance due to your host at arrival is 500euro. If you reduce to say 3 nights, 50euro (25euro per night) is forfeited in the deposit. But 50euro remains a credit to you for another deposit amount for another B&B and the 500euro balance is still due to your host.
If this reduced number of nights occurs within the 4 weeks cancellation period, full balance payment may still be due to your host, unless we can rebook those dates - as per above.
Cancellation by Host ( this is a rare occurrence)
On the very rare occassion a Petite home owner needs to cancel an exisiting booking Petite Paris will reach out to you immediately as soon as we are informed about it, and offer you an alternate apartment if available, that is of equal comparison, features and value or considered an upgrade.
Cancellations by hosts are extremely rare as Petite Paris is here for precisely this reason, to be the middle man and ensure there are no hosts cancelling ‘just because’. We are NOT airbnb! If there needs to be a cancellation it is genuinely for unforeseen genuine reasons, medical, or building issues etc, And Petite Paris will relocate you to an apartment of equal or greater experience, style or size. We cannot assure the same location in this case.
Should guests refuse the alternate accommodation this will be considered a cancellation on the guests part, as we assure all newly offered apartments are wonderful, Petite Paris approved, in Paris central, and will always be of equal or greater style, space etc, than the original.
Deposit payments paid are non-refundable and will still remain a credit to guests even if they refuse the new accommodation, to use for the deposit of another Petite B&B home another time - with no expiry date. This can be transferred to friends and family also.
If we cannot find a suitable home of equal standard or higher we can refund your deposit paid.
Cancellation of your stay during your stay (also extremely rare)
Should your accommodation become unavailablke during your stay, ie sudden damage occurs or utilities fail, Petite Paris will immediately relocate you to another Petite Paris home available. Balance and booking transfers over to the new apartment or B&B.
Please note at such last minute emergency situations, the home we relocate you to may being a B&B guesthouse or a private self contained apartment - with limited options we will offer you what we have available and it may naturally be a different style, experience, size etc.
You are free to decline the new home and search for your own relocation if you prefer and you will be refunded the balance paid for the nights you have lost ONLY in the apartment/B&B.
Deposit paid at the time of booking remains non refundable. Balance for the nights already stayed are also not refundable.
Please do reach out if you have any questions at all.
Sincerely,
Regina. Owner - Petite Paris
