Maison européenne de la photographie
The Maison Européenne de la Photographie, located in the historic heart of Paris, in a former private mansion with its own architectural beauty to admire, is a center for contemporary photographic art opened in February 1996. Here you have the opportunity of seeing some of the best photographers who ever lived. There are 5 Photography museums in Paris and this, although a small museum, is the largest of the 5. The changing exhibits at MEP usually include three types of visual arts — photographic prints, the printed page, and video.
You will be delighted by the quality of the prints here - quite literally here photography turns into delicious art. It consists of around 20,000 works of art(mostly silver and digital photography) and each year there are around 3 or 4 exhibitions with artists, themes and movements related to the second half of the 20th century and the 21st century.
