Marché Saint-Eustache-Les Halles

This market is in the ‘belly’ of Paris, in the shadow of the beautiful Saint Eustache Church. The Les Halles district used to host the largest and most important market in Paris, and it's no accident this market sprang up within easy distance of the Louvre. When the Louvre was home to the royal family and their vast court, masses amounts of food were required to feed them every single day. This market not only fed the palace, but the entire city of Paris too. This vast market continued right up until the 60’s when it was finally moved outside of Paris. Today, you'll find this market on Thursdays and Sundays selling everything from seafood to cheese and vegetables. With the major foodie street of Rue Montorgeuil just moments away, you have plenty of options to get everything you need.
